Jennifer Mok – Instructor, Preschool and Chinese Dance

Jennifer began her dance training at the age of four at the Lorita Leung Dance Academy, where she developed a strong technical foundation in Chinese dance. During her formative years, she had the opportunity to travel to China, further enriching her cultural understanding and artistic practice. She was also part of the first cohort in Canada to graduate from the Beijing Dance Academy Chinese Dance Graded Examination Syllabus, introduced by founder Lorita Leung.

Jennifer continued her training at Simon Fraser University in the Contemporary Dance program, where she expanded her practice beyond Chinese dance to include contemporary techniques, anatomical study, and a deeper exploration of movement.

Complementing her dance background, Jennifer has completed both yoga teacher training and personal training certifications, which inform her approach to movement, conditioning, and injury prevention. She remains actively engaged in dance through ongoing recreational practice, maintaining a strong connection to movement while drawing on her diverse training and interdisciplinary background.

Jennifer’s energetic and engaging teaching style and love of children makes her a favourite among LLDA’s youngest students.
